I have been a model for about four years now. While studying for my Economics degree at University of Hertfordshire I was seeking out agency support and attended a few test shoots. However it was difficult balancing studies with travelling up to London for shoots so I focused in completing my degree. The urge to model however still burned within me. I applied to model at a university fashion show but at the very last minute I convinced myself again that modelling wasn't my priority so I dropped out of the show. I guess it just wasn't my time but I knew it was never going to be the last opportunity .
Not long after I graduated in 2014 I got my first office job working for Hertfordshire Council. I lover my job but I strongly felt there was more to life than working Monday to Friday in the office.
I came across an advert for Born To Model UK on Instagram. I had always watched Americas Next Top Model on TV and thought wouldn't it be awesome to feature on there. Born To Model UK had a similar concept living in a house with 8 models and competing in challenges . This sounded so cool and best thing was there was no model height restrictions . This was my first opportunity to voice my journey as a petite model . I was the shortest model in the house but managed to reach the final stages . This experience changed my life .
I started to see the unlimited potential there was for a 5 foot 2 model in a world of generic statuesque girls. So I started exploring modelling opportunities with no height restrictions .
At the beginning of 2016, I started working with my natural affinity for social media, particularly as an Instagram influencer. Since then my reach on this platform has risen exponentially!
Now I have collaborated with makeup artists , photographers and designers on various shoots some which I have directed myself . I have coached and mentored aspiring models to follow their dreams and many have gone on to take part in their first fashion show or apply for their first pageant . I am so proud to see the growth in so many models I have advised.
