Football fans have Anfield, art lovers have the Tate, and music aficionados have the Beatles. But if you want to become a model in Merseyside, you’ll be wondering which modelling agencies in Liverpool should be your guiding lights.

You can keep your eye on open casting calls for the area, but getting representation with one of the top Liverpool model agencies could really boost your career.

Whether you’re interested in photographic modelling for local businesses, in fashion shows at Merseyside events, or doing shoots alongside your beloved pet, here’s how to work out which of the best modelling agencies in Liverpool is for you.

JUMP TO

Pulse

Pulse was founded by Irene Bird in 2004, with the dream “to be globally recognised for creating innovative, exciting experiences in a diverse, fun way that will leave a lasting impression with all people.”

Located in the city centre near the Mersey docklands, Pulse doubles as an events agency, so there is potentially additional work for models as promotional staff or if you have a skill such as dancing.

Pulse works with British brands, including some hyperlocal businesses such as Beautiful Brows, Gather Gourmet Cocktails, Dr Paw Paw, Berghaus, and Red Run Activewear. It also represents models, influencers, creatives, and promotional staff – typically on the more youthful end of the spectrum.

Recognisable faces on its books include influencers Ethan Paul, Izzie Burleton, and Cal Edwards.

Impact Models

Impact Models is a Liverpool modelling agency based in Calderstones that represents models, actors, and extras across the northwest of England for fashion and commercial work.

It prides itself on its 22 years of experience in the industry, which allows it to cater to a range of modelling needs. It represents baby, child, and teen models, as well as mature models.

Clients include local brands such as Merseytravel, Liverpool FC, and the Municipal Hotel, as well as national brands such as BT, Regatta, and The Great British Sewing Bee.

GModels

GModels is a Liverpool modelling agency with an office in Bootle that focuses on providing models and performers for Merseyside businesses and events. Started by Southport local Lisa Hames in 2013, it represents youthful male, female, and fitness talent.

Hames’ aim is to give her talent “personalised service,” which she does by drawing on her own experience in events management and modelling.

Models at GModels have won commercial work for regional brands such as Foundry Gym, Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre, and V2 Classic Suits, and walked in fashion shows at Preston Fest and the Bolesworth International Horse Show.

Allstars Casting

Allstars Casting is more of a talent agency than a bespoke modelling agency, but it has commercial opportunities for its clients in areas as diverse as fashion, finance, and transport.

It was founded by the late actress Sylvie Gatrill, who was a Liverpool native and believed in nurturing the city’s young talent. Her former student Lauren McQueen now runs the agency, managing its more than 80 clients.

The agency represents most ages, but the majority of its talent are teens and young adults.

Commercial clients include Transport for West Midlands, New Balance, and Amex.

Urban Paws

If you’re a model with an equally limelight-loving animal friend, then look no further than Urban Paws, Liverpool’s model agency for pets and their owners.

Founded by Layla Flaherty in 2015, Urban Paws has offices in Liverpool, Manchester, London, and Dublin. Flaherty saw a gap in the market for ethical, high-quality animal talent, and the agency is now a multi-award-winning leader and a finalist for both the 2023 Positive Awards and Pet Industry Federation Awards.

The agency provides pets and other animals to leading industry professionals, including film producers, television studios, PR agencies, theatre productions, and in-house marketing teams.

It has a range of commercial, fashion, and editorial clients, with Pets at Home magazine and Asda Money among those to feature owners and their pets together.

It represents women, men, nonbinary, curve models, classic models, and influencers, and it works with a covetable roster of fashion clients including Diesel, Debenhams, Office, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Its models have also appeared in editorials for magazines such as Grazia and The Skin.

Set up by sisters Jess Ludlam and Sam Fry, J’adore is all about honesty. In its own words: “We don’t do bullshit and we don’t do drama.” Ambitious models from neighbouring Liverpool will be in good company.
